Parc de la Cuitadella, Barcelona, Spain, 2004

This large public space is located in the Parc de la Cuitadella. The popular gardens boast a boating lake, orange groves and naturalized parrots that inhabit the lovely park. It's main gateway known as the Arc del Triomf was built for the 1888 universal exhibition which filled the park. A striking frieze on the main façade of the arc represents Barcelona welcoming spirit for foreign visitors. On Sundays this park is a kind of international "happening" of enormous proportions; overall, it’s one of the most intensively used parks we’ve ever seen.
Photo bellow is from our 2009 visit to this space and it is from the other part of the park, spectacular, isn't it?
