Floral Square [Cvetni Trg], Beograd, Srbija, 2016

Just two weeks ago, in February 2016, long needed renovations of this very old square in center of Beograd is finished.

Space has a at least 50 years long tradition of being "a space" for large selection of cut flowers and plants. Few excellent patios on the upper level of the square are completing the picture.

On our photo top left large object wrapped in blue tarp is visible behind the tree. What this is all about is clear on the photo bellow.

Just two days after this panorama was taken actual premier of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić unveiled the monument to the famous writer Borislav Pekiću (1930-1992). Autor of the monument is Zoran Ivanović. Photo bellow.

Expect new photos from this place once the blooming season starts, let's see if the space is going to fulfill its obligation to be Floral Square.

Beograd wouldn't be Beograd without dosage of humor. Right there advertising panel is altered with toothless models. It looks very funny to me?
