Park Vojvode Bojovica, Beograd, Srbija, 2007

This very typical, little park is touching on the south side one of the bigest and most famous permanent market space in Beograd, Kaleniceva pijaca [Kalenic market]. it is surrounded with narrow streets, paralel parking is aloud and it is still connected with the neighbourhood and it is allways busy and well used. To be honest, main reason that this square - park was selected was that in the park is a monument to one of the famous first world war Dukes [Vojvoda] – Petar Bojovic.
Why he is important? Because he is my great grandfather. Inerestingly location of his brother's house, where I grew up, is almost visible in the photo.

This photo of young Duke P. Bojovic is taken around 1900 with inscription to his brother [my grand grand father.
More about his house and our family history you can find here.
