Piazza Conte Rosso, Avigliana, Italy, 2015

The other square in Avigliana is Piazza Conte Rosso, marked with #02 on the map right. Main ceremonial and everything else square on the top of the hill is of course where the city hall, public well, little but now not functional church, and other remarkable building are located.

We stayed only one day in the city, but we were lucky enough that the city and this square were that night hosting Jazz Festival.

Everybody was present and on top of enjoying excellent performances of the full size orchestra we were also lucky to find place in one of very few tables in the restaurant overlooking the stage.

Little church on one end of the square was open and local artists had opening night and reception staged on the same evening. What an experience.

When you travel you often see squares like this empty of just partially functioning. This was experience where you observe what the real value they have for the local community.

Tomorrow morning in full daylight we noticed many more details of this exceptional space. Check little photos bellow.
