Place Jules Pellissier, Saint Remy de Provence, France, 2015

In this town in the heart of Provence, you’ll find all the charm of a typically South of France way of life. Wandering around the narrow little streets you will discover this square in the core of the town. Square is created in 1793 in the area of the yard belonging to the convent. Impressive building of City Hall [Mairie] is from the 16th century and is on the site of an old convent. The dolphin fountain, inaugurated in 1814 and dedicated to Louis XVIII, is located in the centre of the square under the shades of 100 years old plane trees. Many other spaces are adding to the charm of this town. Just look at all the details surrounding you. Few photos bellow are trying impossible, to show you what this town is all about. Van Gogh painted Starry Night and more than 100 other paintings here, Nostradamus was born in Saint Remy, Caroline of Monaco lives here, and the late Princess Diana once bought a place in the town.
Place Pellissier is wonderful place to have lunch, dinner or just an ice cream. All of the town passes true here, you will not miss anybody or anything important.

We visited many places on our visit to Provence in August and September of 2015. Map of our trip is bellow, with links to other squares that are in our collection, or to the galleries on our photoblog.
