Some 30 or so kilometers from Guardalavaca and 50 to the Holguin, capital of the province of the same name, we stopped in this quite unusual place, village of La Palma, in the municipality of Rafael Freyre. Of course that this main gathering space is unnamed, so we are naming it plaza.

As you can see on the map bellow all the important facilities are around this space.

#1. Space for purchasing government
provided goods.
#2. Elementary School
#3. Medical Polyclinic
#4. Restaurant [not in a working condition].

The one missing from the similar spaces in Latin America is Church. Check this one from the similar village in Costa Rica!

We had some interactions with the locals, especially with the kids in the quite visually attractive school [#2 on our map] and photos in the last row bellow.
