This peaceful little square where large acacia (jigüe) tree stands, is the place where father Bartolomes de las Casas celebrated the first mass in Trinidad in 1514.

Person on a small photo bellow left is a local bee keeper selling his fantastic honey for really small amount of money. [16 years later I found out that exactly same honey is sold in Toronto, Canada, and it is still fantastic!]

We revisited Trinidad in 2016 and you shoud see how the whole city changed in these 12 years with seriously changed private initiatives.
