An elevated art installation at Vaughan Rd. and Bathurst St. has raised concerns in the St. Clair West (Cedarvale) community since installed.

Named “Three Points Where Two Lines Meet,” the piece by Toronto art duo Christian Giroux and Daniel Young was commissioned in 2014. According to a press release, the art piece, an elevated structure of triangular shapes made from powder-coated aluminum and lit up with LED lights, is meant to “animate and enhance” the similarly shaped intersection. It was selected from a national competition judged by a panel of Toronto artists.

This space is not really named Wells Hill Parkette. Title is mine, having in mind nearby Wells Hill Park.

Cedarvale is a lush, family-friendly midtown neighbourhood in Toronto, part of the broader Humewood–Cedarvale community.

The whole neighbourhood has a strong connection with the Indigenous past, the Na-Me-Res Housing a 69-bed emergency shelter, West Sagatay, a nationally-recognized transitional housing program O’Gitchidaa Mushkiki Wigwam, a long-term independent housing initiative including cultural connection and identity and a nice murals in the park.

The corner of St. Clair Avenue and Bathurst Street where this urban space is located is little bit south from the centre of the social life.

All of our urban squares in our collection are part of our >psycho<geography> activities. They are "mental reaction, to the neighbourhood behaviours".

Toronto Public Library, Wychwood Branch, a renovated and enlarged structure consisting of the traditional old building and added space around it, is a wonderful way to spend some smart time. [photos are in the 4th row bellow].
