Psychogeography Portrait...46. High Park 2024
  Street Art 2024

High Park is a municipal park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[2] High Park is a mixed recreational and natural park, with sporting, cultural and educational facilities, gardens, playgrounds and a zoo. One-third of the park remains in a natural state, with a rare oak savannah ecology. High Park was opened to the public in 1876 and is based on a bequest of land from John George Howard to the City of Toronto. It spans 161 hectares and is one of the largest parks in Toronto.

We are frequent visitors to the park. We like everything about it.

Even in the middle of of March it is possible to stretch our legs and observe lake Ontario in the distance [but you will have to visit other part of our website for that experience].

In early summer, especially after large rainfall [Remnants of Hurricane Beryl, mid-July 2024] it is extremely green as you can see around you.

This one was a relatively short walk. Take a look at the map above, just 2km maybe.

These are just a few selected photos, that you can see here, we couldn't resist.

In the middle of the wide area close to the lake there is a large maple leaf decoration, it is red when it blooms, obviously right now as you can see.

Inside that circle indigenous art is very appropriately warning us about basic need, Harmony!

Birds and squirels are everywhere, not afraid at all, sometimes even landing on your streched hands.

On July 24, after another heavy rain pour we came to check what is going on in our favourite park.

This second little walk is marked with green line on our map at the top.

Fool bloom anywhere around. One unusual sight in the middle, acorns in the middle of some dark, almost black leaves, very, very decorative!

Good buy for now, we will not add more images to those 34 already here. Come back for something else.
